I am fascinated by the cultural divide once again. It appears that a lot of “gen AI” discourse in Japan compares modern-day LLM output users to 2000s-era flashcart users and/or manga pirates, whereas my local impression is that these two groups are pretty strongly opposed to each other in the West.
